The Details
There's no doubt that the 2001 Corvette Convertible is one of the best looking, fasted, most expensive Corvettes of all time! But I guess it's worth it. It's a chick0magnet, it catches the eye, and is just an all 'round AWESOME car! They are very expensive cars. They aren't as fast as the Z06 model but are stil very quick. If you buy one, you will have to cut back on some things for a while (unless your a rich suit) because the cost is BIG! Maybe not as big as a Porshe or a Viper but it's still big. The price ranges from ,250 up to ,000. But like I said before, it's worth it!

2001 Corvette Convertible
Lower the top on this high performance convertible and reveal a new level of driving exhilaration for 2001. The already legendary LS1 V8 engine shared with the coupe has been enhanced to provide more horsepower (now 350 hp) and low-end torque over a broader range for outstanding acceleration, with improved fuel economy* for 2001. And you may choose from a six-speed manual transmission or an electronically controlled four-speed automatic with more refinements this year. The power of the LS1 V8 is further complemented by Corvette's sophisticated four-wheel independent suspension, variable effort Magnasteer, massive four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, Traction Control and Second-Generation Active Handling System — all standard. Thanks to a remarkably rigid frame and low curb weight, the 2001 convertible feels solid, agile, and precise to your driving input. Lateral shake is virtually gone and the ride is impressively smooth.
CONVERTIBLE TOP
For 2001, the convertible top is even quieter. Weather-stripping and sealing around the door glass are improved, and a new double-thickness twill material is now utilized on the canvas top. To operate, simply pop the tonneau cover release, unhook two latches, and then drop the lightweight, manual-folding top. It's an easy, one-person operation.
Waterfall Effect
Corvette details on the current car that evoke Vettes of an earlier era include a dramatic "waterfall" effect as the exterior body color sweeps down between the seats.

Trunk & Body-Side Moldings
A fully enclosed, lockable trunk is standard. Cargo volume is 13.9 cubic feet with the top up, 11.2 cubic feet with the top down.

These optional moldings help fend off dings and dents, and add an attractive styling touch.
Foglamps
This is my good friend Hal. I took this picture on his birthday. I think he likes to be in pictures.
Polished & Magnesium Wheels
Optional highly polished aluminum wheels add a dazzling look to Corvette coupe and convertible models.

Eye-catching and functional (they are lighter than the standard wheel), the optional magnesium wheels add an exotic touch to any Corvette coupe or convertible.
Chrome Exhaust Tips & Glass Rear Window
A new feature for 2001 for coupe and convertible models, these standard chrome exhaust tips add to the sporty Corvette appearance.

The convertible features a glass rear window with an integral electric defogger. Convertible top colors are Black, Light Oak or White, depending on the exterior color you select.
